Wirral Sound Youth Marching Band is a joint activity, run by both the Boys’ Brigade and the Girls’ Union.
Youngsters do not have to be members of the Companies to join our Band.
We teach children to play brass or percussion instruments, how to read music, co-ordination, self-respect and respect for others and their belongings. As the youngsters progress they will play in Church Services, Concerts, Remembrance Day Parades and much more. The band have played at the 2012 Olympics, Birmingham International Tattoo and the Lord Mayors Parade in London.
We take young people from the age 8 (year 4 at School).
We provide instruments and tuition and whatever the youngsters need to be part of the band.
Band practice night is Tuesday and the times are:
Learners: 6-30 to 7-30
Main Band: 7-00 to 9-30pm
If your child is year 4 upwards and is interested in learning to play aninstrument please contact:
